6. In the given figure, O is the centre of the circle. C A

                 (a) Name all chords of the circle.
                 (b) Name all radii of the circle. P
                 (c) Name a chord, which is not the diameter of the circle. O

                               Srinivasa Ramanujan (1887–1920)—A Child Prodigy

The greatest mathematical genius of modern times was born in Tamil Nadu, India.
Ramanujan dreamt of problems which has taken the finest mathematicians of
Europe a hundred years to solve and some of whose solutions are incomplete
               till the present day.

Once in an Arithmetic class on division, the teacher said “If three bananas were
given to three boys, each boy would get a banana”. Ramanujan stood up and
asked, Sir, if no banana is distributed to no student, will everyone still get a
banana? He then generalised the statement “If any number other than zero is
divided by the same number, the result will be one.”
A child prodigy, he was largely self-taught in Mathematics and had compiled thousand of theorems
between 1914 to 1918 at the University of Cambridge. Often, his formulae were merely stated, without
proof and were only later proven to be true.
