                                                          Tangram

Tangram is a puzzle consisting of 7 pieces. These pieces
are cut from a square. Tangram is said to have originated
in China about 1000 years back. It is said that a man
named Tan dropped a square tile which broke into
7 different pieces. When Tan was trying to arrange the
pieces to make the square tile again, he learnt that many
different shapes could be obtained from those pieces.
The tangram pieces consist of five triangles, a square and Figure Solution
a parallelogram. Tangram not only gives a visualization of
the basic geometrical shapes but is also a creative game
            that sharpens our thinking ability.
            Make Your Own Tangram Shapes

Paste the attached sheet showing 7 tangram pieces on a chart paper or an old greeting card. Cut them carefully
along the lines. Now you can use these pieces to create different tangrams. A tangram with its solution is
given alongside for you. Try to make the other shapes given below.
