Capacity
Capacity means volume, i.e., the amount of liquid that a container can hold. The
standard units of measurement of capacity are litres and millilitres. Litre (L) is used for
measuring larger capacities and millilitre (mL) is used for measuring smaller capacities.
1 L = 1000 mL or 1000 mL = 1 L
Conversion of litres into millilitres
Quick Tip
We already know that in 1 litre there are 1000
millilitres. So to convert litres into millilitres, we To convert L into mL,
put three zeros to the
multiply by 1000. right of the number.
