            Comparing Numbers

We can compare any two numbers using the given rules.

                • A number that is closer to zero is the smaller number.

For example, 17 is smaller than 20. We can also say that 17 is less than 20.

                   It is written as 17 < 20.

                • A number that is farther from zero is the bigger number.

For example, 19 is bigger than 12. We can also say that 19 is more than

                   12. It is written as 19 > 12.

                • A 2-digit number is always bigger than a 1-digit number.

For example, 11 is bigger than 5. It is written as 11 > 5.
