VOLUME AND SURFACE AREA OF SOLIDS
Integrated with Science
The volume of an irregularly shaped object can be measured by submerging the object
in a graduated cylinder filled with water up to a certain level. The water displaced by the
object gives its volume.
Using the above mentioned process, find the volumes of the following objects.
(a) A marble (b) A pebble
GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION OF DATA
Integrated with Environmental Science Loud
Look at the graph. It shows different sound levels. A bee buzzing is in the
soft range. A cat meowing is in the medium range. A grizzly bear growling
is in the loud range. Medium
Add sounds of other animals to the graph. The hoot of an owl is louder than
a buzz but softer than a meow. The yip of a coyote is louder than a meow
but softer than a growl. Draw the animals on the graph. Soft
