8 Little Topsy Gets Lost
Topsy is a rabbit. He lives with
his family in a burrow. One
day they all hop to a carrot
field and start eating the
carrots.
The farmer sees them. He runs
after them with a long stick.
They all run away from the
field.
Topsy reaches a big bush.
He stops and looks back. He
cannot see his family. He is
afraid. He starts crying.
Suddenly, Topsy hears a moo... moo...
moo... sound. He looks around. He
sees Milky the cow and her calf. They
are eating the green grass in front of
them.
Topsy goes to them. He says, ‘Please
tell me where I am. I am lost.’
Milky says, ‘Little rabbit, please don’t
cry. You are in our shed. Here, drink
some water. I’ll call Monty. He will
take you back to your house.’
Topsy drinks the water. Milky says,
‘Moo... moo... moo...’ Then she says,
‘Topsy, look who is here!’
