What To Do?
To understand the concept of factors using buttons or ice cream sticks
What We Need?
Buttons or ice cream sticks
How To Do?
Work in pairs.
Your teacher will write some numbers on the blackboard/whiteboard for which the
factors need to be found.
Each pair will have to group the buttons or ice cream sticks equally in different ways to
find the factors of the given number. Let’s say to find the factors of 24, you can group the
buttons or ice cream sticks in groups of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24 equally.
Repeat the activity with more numbers.
ACTIVITY-2
What To Do?
To find the multiples of a number using a number line and skip counting method
What We Need?
A paper, pencil and scale
How To Do?
Draw a number line on a paper.
Your teacher will call out a number in the class, say 5 and first eight multiples of 5.
Then you have to do skip counting of 5 on the number line and find out the first eight
multiples of 5 on it.
