Read the quoted sentences again. The words cheerfully, angrily and thoughtfully refer to the
manner in which these people react. When an adverb describes the manner in which
something is done, it is known as the adverb of manner. In most cases, adverbs of manner
are formed by adding -ly or -ily to the adjectives.
