Read the following sentences.
1. Sheena talks to her friends.
2. The students collect litter.
3. The teacher walks to the main hall.
4. Rabbits eat carrots.
5. Soldiers fight for the country.
The words talks, collect, walks, eat and fight tell us what Sheena, the
students, the teacher, rabbits and soldiers do. Words that tell us what a
person, an animal or a thing does are called action words. We also call
them verbs.
