camel. He said, ‘All right, you may put
                    your neck inside too.’

                                                  5
The camel grew bold . In another hour,
it asked the merchant, ‘Master, may I also

                    put my front legs inside?’

There was very little space in the tent,
                    but the kind merchant agreed.

Soon the camel asked the merchant if
                                                    6
he could put his hump inside. Then he
wanted to put his body inside. Finally, the camel asked if he could come

inside the tent completely. Each time the merchant agreed.

The tent was too small to hold both of them together. They were unable

                                                             7
to move now. So, the selfish camel told his master to sleep outside.
                    This made the
                    merchant very

                    angry. He pushed

                    the camel out of
                    the tent and fell

                    asleep.

                    The camel spent
                    the cold night

                    outside the tent. It

                    decided never to
                                  8
                    be greedy again.
