E-commerce: Business activities for buying and selling of products, services and any other
information through electronic means which mainly include the Internet technologies
B2B: Electronic transactions of goods or services taking place between companies
B2C: E-commerce where virtual stores and malls on the Internet sell all varieties of goods and other
things to the customers
C2C: Electronic transactions of goods and services taking place between consumers
C2B: E-commerce where a large number of individuals look forward to companies to buy their
products and services
B2A: Electronic transactions taking place online between public administration and companies
C2A: Electronic transactions taking place between public administration and individuals
E-shopping: Buying products or obtaining services online
Net banking: Financial transactions performed on the bank’s website
Debit card: A card used in place of cash during purchase
Credit card: A card that allows the user to borrow money from the bank to make the purchases
Smart card: A plastic card consisting of embedded integrated circuits
E-wallet: A type of electronic card used for online transactions done through a computer or
a smartphone
Digital middleman: A company that collects the information from the companies that provide
similar kinds of products and services
E-banking: An online banking service that allows the customers to conduct fi nancial transactions
on a secure website
Blogging: The activation of updating a blog
Blog: An online journal or diary where entries are posted by Internet users called bloggers
Post: An entry posted by the blogger
