button once. To select an item, we click it once.

• Double-click is pressing the left mouse button twice and

releasing it. We double-click on a selected document to

open it.

Selecting an Item

We highlight an item on a screen by selecting it. Step 1

Follow these steps to select an item.

1. Move the mouse pointer to any item on the

screen and click on it. Its colour will change. It

shows that the item is now selected.

2. Open the selected item by clicking the left
mouse button twice.
