Let’s Count the Pulse Rate
To count your pulse rate
• Place the index and the middle fi nger of your left hand on the inner side of your right wrist,
just below the base of the thumb.
• What do you feel?
You will feel some pulsating or throbbing movements or the pulse.
• Count the pulse for one minute. This gives the pulse rate per
minute.
• Similarly, fi nd out the pulse rate of four of your classmates.
Write them in your notebook and calculate the average pulse
rate.
