Recycle
Recycling involves treating wastes to get materials that can be reused.
We sell old things like newspapers, torn books and glass bottles to a ragpicker
(kabadiwala). Then, he sends them for recycling.
• Paper is recycled to make new paper.
• Steel cans are melted to make new cans.
• Broken glass pieces are recycled to make new
containers.
Recycling helps to conserve natural resources,
prevent pollution and save energy. We should try
to produce less waste and dispose it in a safe way.
