Let’s Recall ...

• Money has two forms: paper money called currency notes and
metal coins.
• In India, rupees are written as ` and paise are written as p.

• 1 rupee = 100 paise
• We separate rupees and paise with a dot. For example, 12 rupees and 50 paise

is written as ` 12.50.

for ` 11 and 50 p. How much did he sell all the things for?

4 James bought four books and one notebook. The books cost ` 60.75, ` 45 , ` 25.50
and ` 33.25. The total of all the five items was ` 200. How much was the notebook
for?
