Addition Facts
1. We can add two numbers in any order. The answer will be the same.
2 + 5 = 7 = 5 + 2

2. Addi on of zero to a number: On adding zero to a number, the number
remains unchanged.
6 + 0 = 6 = 0 + 6

Addition through Pattern
Look at the following coloured triangles.

We see that even if we change the way or pa ern in which two numbers are
added, the sum remains the same.
Similarly, 26 + 40 = 40 + 26 = 66
31 + 14 = 14 + 31 = 45
16 + 12 = 12 + 16 = 28
