Chapter 8, Time
Take a cardboard and draw a big circle on it. Ask your parents to cut out the circle
drawn by you using a pair of scissors. Cover this circle using a coloured paper and
make a clock. Use sketch pens or markers to show the markings on the clock and
write the numbers. Draw the hour and the minute hands to show 9 o’clock.
Chapter 9, Data Handling
Draw fl owers in your drawing book. Colour the fl owers yellow, red, pink, orange,
blue and purple. Then make a table and write the numbers of yellow fl owers, red
fl owers, pink fl owers, orange fl owers, blue fl owers and purple fl owers. Arrange
the colours of fl owers in ascending and descending orders of their numbers. Do
you like fl owers? How should one take care of the fl owers?
Chapter 10,Patterns
Collect fi ve diff erent types of fallen leaves and put water colour on them. A er
colouring the leaves, put the fi rst leaf on the paper, followed by the second, third,
fourth and the fi h leaf. Repeat this three mes. You will get a pa ern. Name the
trees from which you collected the leaves. Why should we not pluck the leaves?
You can also make pa erns using various vegetables like ladyfi nger and potato by
cu ng and colouring them.
