D2. Sonal is the team leader for a school trip to the History Museum in the
city. She telephones the Museum offi ce to make the arrangements for
her team’s visit there. Read the conversa on.

Hello, is this the City History Museum?

Yes, how may I help you?

I am Sonal Majumdar calling from Sunnyhill Public
School. Our class plans to visit the Museum next week to
collect information for a writing project.

You are most welcome.

Could you tell me on which days of the week
our team can come there, and at what time?

The Museum is open on all days except Mondays and
public holidays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The ticket costs
twenty rupees for adults and ten rupees for children.

We plan to come on Wednesday at 10 o’clock. We also wish to
watch the biographical films screened in the Museum theatre.

Yes, Wednesday will be fine. The film we are
currently showing is based on the life of Subhas
Chandra Bose. The show starts at 12 o’clock.

Do we need to book seats for the show?

Not really. We usually don’t have many people coming
for the screening. The theatre can seat sixty people.

We are only twenty of us.

Then it won’t be a problem at all.
