Write the story of Mowgli from his point of view. Remember that most sentences
will begin with I. The things that have already happened will be in the past tense.
Things happening now will be in the present tense. Use will to talk about Mowgli’s
plans for the future.

F1. Reading The Jungle Book
You have read only one part of Mowgli’s story. Read the other parts which
describe how Mowgli killed Shere Khan and his life among the villagers
after he had a quarrel with his animal friends.
It will be interesting to read about Grey Brother, Akela, Bagheera and
Messua. Another interesting story from The Jungle Book is that of Rikki-
Tikki-Tavi, the adventurous mongoose.
F2. Read children’s edi ons of the stories of Tarzan wri en by the American
writer Edgar Rice Burroughs. Compare Tarzan with Mowgli. How similar
or diff erent are they?
