Tense : Past Simple

Read the following sentences and past forms of verbs:

1. Leela ate an ice cream yesterday.

(The action was completed yesterday.)

2. Teena went to the market last week.

(The action was completed last week.)

Both actions ate and went took place in past time.

Past Forms of Verbs

i) Many verbs have -ed at the end.

ii) Many verbs have different past forms.
