Observe and Classify
Classify the objects according to your observation into objects that fl oat or sink in water.
You Need:
A large container fi lled with water and objects that sink and fl oat such as a stone, an ice cream
stick, a feather, a tennis ball, a rubber ball, a nail, a leaf, a chalk piece, an eraser, a pencil, fruits,
a plastic cup, a paper weight, balloon
What to Do:
• Place the large container on the table. le.
• Fill it with water.
• Put one object into the water at a
time.
• See whether it fl oats or sinks.
• Note down the observations.
• Draw a table in your scrapbook
and tabulate these objects under
the correct column.
Project Time
Make a list of soluble and
insoluble substances in your
scrapbook. Also, collect and
paste their pictures to make
it more interesting.
