             Chapter 1: Numbers
             Integrate with Science
             Visit a floral garden (for instance, Mughal Garden in Delhi). Find out the names and number of varieties
             of any five different flowers. Note your observations.


             Chapter 2: Addition
             Integrate with Environmental Studies – Observing Your Surroundings

             Let’s see how much you know about other classes and students in your school. Find out the total
             number of students in all the sections of classes 2, 3, 4 and 5. What is the total number of students in
             all these classes? Do you have friends in all these classes? How does making friends from different age
             groups help?


             Chapter 3: Subtraction

             Integrate with Science and Arts Education
             Go to a fruit seller and ask him the number of any five types of fruits you like. Find the total number
             of fruits that you asked for. Now subtract the number of fruit that you like the most from the total
             number of fruits. Show addition and subtraction of fruits by drawing images.


             Chapter 4: Multiplication
             Integrate with Science
             How many days are there in a week? List them. How many seasons are there? List them. Find the
             product of the total number of days and the total number of seasons. Write the names of the day and
             the season that you like the most and state the reasons.


             Chapter 5: Division

             Integrate with Science
             How many months are there? Write their names. How will you divide the total number of months
             equally into two halves and four quarters? Which is your favourite festival? In which month does it fall?
             Which is the month that you like the most? Give reason.

             Chapter 6: Geometry and Maps

             Integrate with Arts Education
                •  Draw any five objects using straight and curved lines. Name the objects drawn by you. Colour
                   these objects.
                •  Draw a hut which consists of various shapes like triangle, square, rectangle, circle and oval.
                   Colour the hut.
                •  Draw a dot grid in your notebook. Then make a beautiful landscape on the grid and colour it.
