MY ACTIVITY CORNER

What To Do?
To understand addi on and reinforce the concept of number facts

What We Need?

Small slips of paper and a pencil

How To Do?

• Form groups of 10 students each.

• For each group, make 10 slips. Write numbers from 0 to 9 on these

slips, one number on each slip.

• Give one slip to each child of every group.

• The teacher will call out a number, say 8.

Children holding the slips of numbers that

add up to 8 will form pairs. For example, the
children with numbers 1 and 7 will form one

pair and children with numbers 2 and 6 will
form another pair and so on.

• The group with maximum correct pairs will get 2 6

points and the group with maximum points will
be the winner.

Another Idea

Take a bag and put any ten objects like balls or erasers in it. Form groups

of two or three. Each child from the group should pick out objects from
the bag and prac se addi on using them.
