Addition of Three Numbers on a Number Line

Just like two numbers, we can also add three numbers on a number line.

First add two numbers on the number line. Then star ng from the answer,
count forward the third number. You will get the fi nal answer.

Look at the following example.

2 + 3 + 4 = ?

Star ng from 2, add 3 by coun ng forward and you will reach 5. Now from 5,
count forward 4. You will reach 9 which is the fi nal answer.

So, 2 + 3 + 4 = 9.
