describe nouns and pronouns. Look at the following sentences:
Martha bakes soft cakes.

There are dark clouds in the sky.

Manav is funny.

Lions are scary.

In the sentences above, the adjectives soft, dark, funny and scary describe the nouns cakes,
clouds, Manav and lions, respectively.

Now, look at the following sentence:

Can you help me lift this bag? It is heavy.

Here, the adjective heavy describes the pronoun it. Look at the following examples:

He is cruel. She is talented. They are honest.
The adjectives cruel, talented and honest describe the pronouns he, she and they, respectively.
