The verbs lived, ran, ate, jumped, climbed and rushed tell us about
actions that were completed sometime ago (in the past). They are in
the past tense.
Past Forms of Verbs
We add -d or -ed at the end of some verbs to show that these actions
happened sometime ago.
walk – walked help – helped jump – jumped
ask – asked call – called talk – talked
bake – baked love – loved live – lived
We change some verbs to show that these actions happened sometime
ago.
run – ran eat – ate come – came
dig – dug do – did write – wrote
sit – sat fly – flew go – went
