                                           GROUP ACTIVITY

To learn comparison of fractions using fraction strips

Things We Need: White sheets of paper, a ruler, a pencil, a pair of scissors and crayons
            How To Do:

              1. Take a sheet of paper and cut it into 5 strips of equal width
(keep the width of each strip equal to the width of a ruler).

              2. Colour the strips in different colours—red, yellow, green,
                  orange and blue.

                                                                                                    1

              3. Write 1 on the red strip and paste it on another sheet of
                  paper.

              4. Fold the yellow strip into two halves. Unfold it and draw a 1 1
                                                       1
line on the crease formed. Write on both the halves. 2 2
                                                       2
