                                          GROUP ACTIVITY





            To understand the concept of multiplication and form tables

            Things We Need:  Rubber bands (or matchsticks), white sheets of paper and a
                                   pencil

            How To Do:

              1.  Form a group of 6 students.

              2.  Tell one child from the group to give one rubber band to each remaining
                   child of that group.


              3.  Tell the child to count the number of children and the number of rubber

                   bands each child is holding and write as 5 × 1 =  5 .

              4.  The same child will give one more rubber band to each child of the group.
