Capacity
Capacity is the amount any object can hold.
A jug can hold 10 glasses of water.
We can also write it as follows:
• A jug holds more water than a glass.
• A glass holds less water than a jug.
Look at another example.
A kettle can hold 5 cups of milk.
We can also write it as follows:
• A kettle holds more milk than a cup.
• A cup holds less milk than a kettle.
